Into the Horizon
At the end of my second year at university I created my first matte painting, sparking my interest in environment creation. The piece is an establishing shot of a ship sailing through a stormy rocky environment and into the horizon beyond.
Final Sequence
The digital matte painting was created in Photoshop and 2.5D projections and compositing in NukeX. The piece is a set extension of an ocean, the original plate is below.
